Taronga Zoo's entire chimp community is on the move to a new state of the art sanctuary. It's no easy feat for keepers and vets as they try to relocate 18 of the zoo's most dangerous animals, including a bunch of burly teenage boys who are planning an ambush on the current Alpha male chimpanzee, Lubutu.

Gorilla from France After a worldwide search Taronga Keepers have found a black back Gorilla in France called Kibali to replace their aging silverback. A new silverback is important to introduce a new bloodline to the region.

6. Elephants, Devils and Seals

Tang Mo the Asian Elephant wants to be a mother, she dotes on the three calves in Taronga’s herd but she hasn’t quite hit it off with virile bull elephant, Gung. Will the last adult female in the Sydney herd without a calf conceive? And see Taronga’s Wild Life Hospital care for a rare sub-Antarctic species which washed ashore a staggering 2000 kilometres from home.

7. Bongo Baby, Tasmanian Devils, Condor Chick

Taronga is part of a breeding program to make sure endangered Tasmanian Devils remain on this planet.
