1. Episode 1

Sahar Meradji meets several people who, according to the AIVD's definition, are right-wing extremists. What do they think? And what do they want? When you think of a right-wing extremist, you may quickly think of someone with malicious intentions against people of foreign origin. Sahar finds out that reality may not be so black and white.

Sahar Meradji follows a number of people who, according to the AIVD's definition, are right-wing extremists. Sahar tries to understand how these people see the world and especially why. Fear, frustration and anger seem to predominate. Followed by rigorous plans and actions.

The AIVD states that extreme right-wing ideology is growing in the Netherlands. The threat to our freedom, the democratic legal order, is increasing. What causes this? And how does it happen? Sahar Meradji sees how people find each other dissatisfied, how they inflame each other and ultimately form a group with their own beliefs and dreams for the future.
