Martina Eitner-Acheampong

Martina Eitner-Acheampong (born June 1, 1960, in Cottbus as Martina Eitner) is a German actress and theater director. She began her acting studies in 1981 at the Hochschule für Schauspielkunst in Rostock. In 1985, she went to the Theater Rudolstadt for two years. This was followed by varying engagements as an assistant at the Hochschule für Schauspielkunst Rostock and as an actress at Theater unterm Dach and Orphtheater in Berlin. As a director, she worked at the Puppentheater Wismar. After returning to Rudolstadt, Eitner-Acheampong primarily collaborated with director Konstanze Lauterbach (for example, playing the title role in Georg Seidel's play “Carmen Kittel”). After an engagement at Theater Vorpommern in Greifswald, she moved to Schauspiel Leipzig in 1991, where she appeared as a protagonist in various productions directed by Konstanze Lauterbach. In Leipzig, she also worked with Wolfgang Engel, Armin Petras, and Matthias Brenner. She then continued her directing work and taught at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater “Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy” Leipzig. Between 2000 and 2005, she was a permanent ensemble member at Schauspielhaus Bochum. Guest engagements followed at Schauspielhaus Zürich and Schauspiel Essen. Since 1991, Martina Eitner-Acheampong has also worked as a theater director. She staged productions, among others, at Schauspiel Leipzig, Theater Heilbronn, Staatstheater Stuttgart, Neues Theater Halle, and Theater Augsburg. In the 2003 premiere of the theater play “Mendy – das Wusical” by Helge Schneider, she played one of the main roles. From 2004, Martina Eitner-Acheampong appeared in seasons one to three of the TV series “Stromberg” as Erika Burstedt. Her series character died in the episode “Erika,” aired on April 30, 2007. In 2007, she directed “Petticoat und Minirock” at the Gandersheim Cathedral Festival plays and appeared in several Tatort episodes from 2009. Between 2014 and 2019, she played Senior Nurse Gundula in all 62 episodes of the TV series “Dr. Klein.”
